Brief Description: Safety Paint on Nuts - HS Horn Bearing
I bought some Glyptal-Like Red Varnish to dab onto nuts and threads throughout the aircraft. If a nut is not secured by stainless steel safety wire, it will get a dab of this stuff. If the nut or part moves, it will crack the paint and be apparent. I looked for Glyptal brand paint but I couldnt find it in a small bottle... probably won't use 1/2 ounce in the entire build. Images 2 and 3 try to show the distance of the inside horn surfaces to the center HS bearing. The bearing is not exactly centered, so when the final assembly is done, the difference will be made up with the proper thickness of washers.
You may notice I'm putting in very little time in these last entries for the Empennage. There isn't a lot left to do except mostly for fiberglass work... And that is slow because you need to cure overnight. the wings are ordered and expected by March 1st maybe...
