While mounting the Right Elevator to the HS, I slipped with the wrench and made a small tear in the skin (Image 1). After a little thought, I decided to grind out the tear and radius the removed area. I think this is an acceptable solution with smooth edges and not very unsightly. The right elevator is essentially finished and replacement of the skin seems drastic and unnecessary. I mounted the right Elevator to the Horizontal Stabilizer and made necessary adjustments to the height of the bearings to insure there is no binding and smooth operation.
