I constructed an easily removable paint booth with 6 mil plastic hung from ceiling to floor. Also, built a box fan and air filters into a frame that fits nicely into the doorframe leading to the Bilco door. In operation, the Bilco door is opened, the inner door is opened and the box fan/frame is fitted into the doorframe. When the fan is turned on, the air is drawn from the paint booth through the filters and blown out of the open Bilco door. While painting, I wear a positive air-flow full-face respirator in the booth. This setup works well and sends all fumes out of the house. The improvised table in the booth is used as a painting platform. Image 2 shows some stiffeners that were primed. Since all parts (Except skins) were treated with Alodine, they only require a regular primer. The inside surfaces of the skins are primed with a self-etching primer. The aft spar of the Vertical Stab was touched up with primer where needed.
