I spent several unproductive hours running aluminum fuel lines. In the end I wasn't satisfied with any of them. They were difficult to work with in long runs and hard to bend in tight locations. I have a bending tool but you can't really get it into tight locations. So I decided to go with flexible fuel lines. Yes they are expensive and yes they weigh more than the aluminum, BUT, they are nice looking and they are a dream to work with. The first picture shows where the fuel lines from the front of the door come together with the fuel line from the rear of the door then go down under the floor to the fuel valve. Picture 2 shows the fuel lines going through the rear exhaust tunnel bulkhead. Picture three shows the mounting location of the fuel valve right beside the flap handle and in front of the control stick on the pilot's side floor. The plate that the valve is mounted to is temporary. The permanent mounting will be to the floorboard. The plate you see is to hold the valve in position while the plumbing is being done. This process is much easier to do with the floorboards removed. I chose the Andair valve because you have to pull up on the handle to turn it to the off position. This will prevent the valve from accidentially being kicked into the off position. I have an Usher gascolator, which is the smallest I could find. I'm still unsure where it will be mounted. There's not enough room to mount it where AviPro suggests without some modifications.
