For some reason I decided to inspect the cable retainers I had already made with a magnafying glass. Close inspection revealed tiny cracks on the outside of the bends. I had used seaming pliers and the edge of my workbench to make the bends and had not allowed enough bend radius. A stress test with my calibrated thumb muscle snapped the retainers quite easily. So I had to back up a bit. Starting over I used the seaming pliers so the bend would be straight but used my thumb to make the bend. That worked much better. The cable retainers for both wings are complete except for priming and installation.
