Brief Description:  Installing wings on fuselage

The fuselage wing fittings are pilot drilled to 1/4" at the factory. Before installing the wings you have to check and correct any differences in the angle of the wing fittings from left to right. This will insure that your wing incidence is the same for both wings. I started by inserting a 1/4" threaded rod through the pilot holes in the wing fittings then checking the angle and comparing both wings. The angle of my fittings was identical but the pilot holes weren't exactly parallel. Using a round file I filed away at some of the fitting until the rod slid all the way through both sides of the fitting without touching. Then using a home made drill guide I drilled out the fittings to 1/64" undersize. The fuselage is now ready for the wings.
