Today I completed the Phase 1 time with a flight to Sebring and Avon Park. No major issues during testing .. just a few adjustments to trim it up so it flies straight with just me in it. Having previously owned a Sonex for a couple years gave me a good point of reference on the handling and how it should fly. The very impressive construction of my other one .. scratch built by Richard Grayson .. also set the bar high for my own efforts. I'm happy with the result. I started construction on the aircraft on 6/25/12. Two weeks less than a year later it was constructed, certified, and flight testing completed. Being retired, I was able to treat it as a full time job and keep moving through the project.
