Well .. the day started out going good .. then major screw up. I drilled the angles on both sides to 1/4. So far so good. I then updrilled the whole thing on both sides to 5/16. So far so good. Then I tried to use an extra long bit I borrowed to go to 3/8 and the bit didn't track straight and took both holes thru the blocks and front angles off to the right. Damn. This will cost me some time. Maybe I could take it all out to 1/2 .. but I don't really want to do that. So I ordered all 4 of the angle pieces and some more 1 x 1.25 block from Sonex to make new parts. This time I'm going to drill all the blocks out to 3/8 off the plane while the wings are clamped and pinned together. Then I'll only have to drill the angles on the plane. I had thought originally about doing that .. and then didn't. We get smarter as we go.
