I made a tab for the block so I could have a forward attach point for a chain for the engine hoist. Next was the accessory plate. I didn't feel secure with the accessory plate being held on by bolts with 1/2 inch thread in the block and not secured in anyway except for torquing them down. So I decided to use drilled heads and safety wire these bolts. This accessory plate is what hooks to the motor mount. Having something come loose would spoil your day.
