I started out to work on the valve train .. but discovered the head studs interfere. Rather than cut them off in the head .. I decided to loosen ALL the head nuts .. remove the studs that need cutting one at a time and cut them and then retorque ALL the nuts in the right sequence. That saved me removing the head and chancing getting metal shavings somewhere. I'll do the other side tomorrow and continue fitting the valve train.
