I got some parts back from getting lathe work done. So I got started on the aileron bellcranks. In order to save the inside of the tubes during welding, I used some 5/8" tubing pushed into the ends.
This is some of the most delicate welding I've had to do so far. It has been a massive learning curve for me, but I think I am finally getting there. I have had 2 welding engineers look over my work. It is not "pretty" welding yet, but apparently it is plenty strong enough. Of course I'd like it to be a work of art, but reality says no. I hope that by the time I get to the fuselage that I will be capable of consistent AND good-looking welds.
