So today I hit a wall whilst bending and deburring attach angles and stiffener angles. There are over 400 of these, so cut me some slack! I felt a change of direction would help, so I worked on the wing attach fittings. These are cut from a seriously thick and expensive piece of aluminium and I wasn't sure how the router would cope. Nothing to worry about in the end, apart from the incredible mess I made! I built form blocks for all the attach fittings and rough cut all of them in preparation for final cut. I couldn't find a sanding drum attachment for my drill press, so I used the hole cutter to make a "drum" out of MDF and glued sandpaper to it. I put some threaded rod through the centre and bolted it on. Great result and very useful to edge sand the form blocks for the attach fittings.
First efforts at cutting wing attach fittings with the router. turned out to cut really well.
Built myself a sanding drum for the drill press.
