Brief Description: Nose Deck prep - instrument panel
Over three days I cut out the FRP dashboard of the Nose Deck and mounted the three aluminum plates that I had ordered from SeaRey Canada. In the nomenclature of Progressive Aerodyne these are Panels #2, #3 and #4. I don't plan to install the left and right wing panels, #1 and #5. I followed the installation instructions as given in the manual without problem, once I got over my nervousness about cutting into the FRP. In the 'almost finished' photo below I have installed pretty much all the switches and instruments I plan to use with the exception of the radio, intercom, transponder and ELT which will be located in the vacant patch of the centre Panel #3. The EFIS shown in Panel #2 is just a paper replica of the Dynon Skyview I plan to purchase if it isn't obsolete when I place my order next spring.
