Long day today, After checking 6-7 times I drilled the frame hinge points like the instructions state. I then removed the frame and started to finish the hole and the drill bit drifted! Arrh!! Luckily it did not go all the way through. I reassembled everything and drilled it in the mount. I then removed the frame again and disasembled it to over drill the hinge points for the 3/8" bushings.
I then discovered that I ruined the PTFE blocks because of the wooble of the release pins. I had a spare set (ordering oops) of blocks and remanufactured them using the old blocks as a guide. Turned out OK.
I then reassembled everything to see if the canopy opens. It was binding where the two skins meet edge to edge. Tweek here, trim there..... Finally came out pretty good. Very time consuming. Thank God for my pnuematic cleco gun! I probably installed/removed >1000 clecos today!
