Brief Description:  Tailcone work - 7/7A conversion

I decided (after a great suggestion from Scott Todd) to make my RV-7A convertable to a RV-7. It will be built as a tricycle gear airplane and then later on it can be easily converted to a taildragger. The first part of the modification is to rebuild the tail cone so a tail wheel can be installed later. I moved up the rear tiedown one bulkhead and installed the w709 tailspring bracket. I found a company that will make a "Float Type" engine mount that has both the nose wheel mount and the main wheel mounts for a taildragger configuration. I will be requesting a motor mount to be built from them. 805 hours to date.
