Brief Description: Setup and machine steering stem
Checked the work from yesterday then started to setup for cutting the steering stem hole. Two angles must be held to keep the wheels aligned and caster angle of the front tire.
First set the 3.5 degree caster angle then rotate the pipe to get the pivot pin level. Tighten the vice, check it again, then begin. Position the machine to the center of the layout and drill, mill, bore till the size is right.
I checked and adjusted both angles when it was roughed to about .050 left in the hole.
