Bent small flange on the shims to keep them in place. Only one bolt goes through so this bend and the trimmed end will hold that end in place. If its loose when it gets bolted and is a buzz potential I will pad it somehow.
Used scrap T-111 to make the template. First cut a straight line using an angle screwed to the T-111 to act as a guide for the skill saw. Layed out the points and bend a L-angle with the shrinker/stretcher to make the sweep line.
