Trimmed ends of the main gear channel several times to get the clearance just right.
Positioned bracket and clecoed to side skin.
Trimmed ends of main gear chanel again, little by little.
The picture doesn't show it real clearlly but I had a pair of clamps holding the rear plates together across the fuselage before back drilling into the gear channel.
