Clean all touching surfaces with lacquer thinner on a rag one time to get the bulk of the dirt off. Then start with a clean rag and clean surfaces again untill no color gets on the white rag. I use a squirt bottle to dispense the lacquer thinner directly on the rag then rub.
Mixed up about 2 oz of primer and air brushed it only where needed.
