Brief Description: Make clearance tool for light fixture
Didn't want to remove the weld bead from the inside of the light fixture, it's stronger with the weld bead, so a tool was made to relieve the angle strip around the weld. The fixture will mount on the outside of the angle strip, sandwiched between it and the outer end cap.
Image 1) Took a couple pieces of the 1/4" spar cap stock, clamped them together in a vice and drilled a 1/4 hole down the center of the two pieces.
Image 2) Radius one half of the tool for clearance of the metal. The side with the holes has the radius.
Image 3) Dowel pin lays in the other half of the tool.
