Brief Description:  Cut left fuel filler hole in skin

Cut cork for the top of the tank and decided to cut the fuel filler neck hole in the leading edge skin to make marking out the on the cork easier. Placed circle template over the hole in the tank and made up template to transfer the center to the skin from the spar rivet line of holes. Marked the hole center and diameter of 2.8 inches on the skin. Drilled out .25 center hole then setup the fly cutter to cut the hole out. Started by hand first then placed plywood backing behind the skin and used variable speed hand drill to finish the hole. Polished edge of hole to get finnish size and deburr. Tested fit and noticed the flange wasn't level to the skin surface. Smacked the high edge of the inner tank flange with maple tool to brin it back to level. Screwed the flange down and needed to clear a little from one side of the hole to get it to fit down. Just used the scotchbrite polishing tool against the edge a little till it fit better. All thats needed now is to fit the cork under the spar edge of the tank.
