Brief Description:  Back to the drawing board wing tip bubble

Changed direction and decided to fabricate the parts and weld the seams. Layed out a new draft on paper and made the part out of .032 6061-T6. The two flanges make up a flat plane that will fit inside the wing tip plate.

Image 1) Draw it first on paper then transfer it to the clear acetate template.

Image 2) Bend the two bends, one 90 and one 39 degree bend. Hold in position with clamps then remove the upper end strip and transfer the holes for riveting. Trim the 39 degree flange so it can fit inside the end strip.

Image 3) Cleco back in place, transfer the third bend line to the part, bend and trim.
