Called Zenith Aircraft and asked if there was a definative distance between the stabilizer and the elevator where the hinge is. Answer: No. Just need to make sure it's even. Drilled hinge for safety wire and shortend the pin. Used 1/4 inch spacers then fit and pilot drilled the hinge to both pieces. Opened up the pilot holes to 3/32 then the ones on the elevator between the middle ribs got opened up to 5/32 for the A5 rivets.
