With center spar assembled, I back drilled through the original and the holes are elongated. Zenith says this is OK because it is in the middle of the sandwich and the other holes (20mm spacing) are through all metal layers just like the original 40mm spacing.
Modified the bucking bar to get in the the tight location of the center spar.
