Brief Description: Pitch Servo, VS Forward Spar, Panel Layout
Today I worked on several things. The first thing I did was to finish the pitch servo install. I riveted the servo support brackets to the bellcrank rib with AN470AD4-7 rivets. Then I mounted the pitch servo and reconnected the bellcrank and the push tube. I'm waiting for a longer bolt for the bellcrank pivot and then this will be complete.
I then moved on to replacing rivets in the front spar of the vertical stabilizer where it attaches to the fuselage. When I put these rivets in I followed the plans and used AN470AD4-6 rivets. These turned out to be too short and so didn't meet spec when gauged with the rivet gauge. I drilled all of them out and replaced them with AN470AD4-7 rivets.
Finally, I measured all the spots on my panel and laid out the panel for my instrumentation.
