Brief Description: Fitting the Flap Bearing Blocks
Tonight was a frustrating night. I worked on fitting the flap bearing blocks to the fuselage. I drilled the holes and trimmed the corners as depicted on the plans. When I tried to fit them they were just too wide to fit both bolts into their holes. I ended up beveling the inside edges of the bearing blocks so that the flap weldment would fit inside a little more. That lined the holes up. Then I ended up with another problem. The bolt on the left side won't engage with the nutplate that was installed by the QB team. I tried and tried to get it to engage but so far have had no luck. I gave up for tonight.
