Brief Description: Preparing and Drilling Wing Ribs
I started my work today by drilling holes for the wiring runs in the wings. These holes are drilled in the wing ribs. I drilled 3/4" holes in each rib in both wings as called out in the wing wiring supplement from Vans to accomodate conduit that is on its way from Vans. I also drilled the tooling holes next to the pitot tube holes to 5/8" as called out in that same document. I ordered bushings to fit those holes. This run will probably be a combination of AOA probe tubing and heated pitot tube wiring.
I moved on and clecoed all of the main wing ribs to the forward and aft spars. I drilled all of the holes attaching the ribs to the forward and aft spars to #30. I removed all of the ribs and deburred all the holes.
