Brief Description:  Assembling the Rear Spar

Yesterday I had finished up by clamping the W-707-E and -F doubler plates to the left rear spar. I started today by match drilling and clecoing those doubler plates. I then moved on and did the same thing to the right rear spar. While they were clecoed together I also marked the holes for the aileron pushrods.

I moved on to cutting out the aileron pushrod holes. I used a unibit to cut most of the hole out and then used a round file to finish it. That was a lot of work! The file left a pretty rough edge so I used my larger hole deburring tool to smooth up the edges.

I clecoed the W-707-G doubler plate to the spars and match drilled all the holes for that. I then disassembled everything and deburred all the holes.

I then clamped each spar in a vice in turn and drilled the holes along the top flange that are hard to dimple with the W-707-G riveted on. I then deburred and dimpled those holes.
