After some more centreline trimming I was happy with the fit and went ahead and installed the top centre hinge. This was done from the outside first with the cowl installed and the hinge held together with the pin. I then took the cowl off and installed the hinge halves on the inside and reinstalled the cowl. I have also taken off the prop hub spacer so I can judge the bottom fit a bit better, all seems to look good. My gascolator/fuel vent cut-out has now been finalized as well. Next I'll install the bottom hinge but tomorrow I leave for a business trip for a couple of days so this will have to wait till after.
