I've been pondering how to attach the bagagge sling that came with the upholstery kit. The instructions are pretty poor, they just say to attach it to the longerons & cross ties with screws & washers or aluminium rivets, but that's it. The problem is that it would be very hard to attach it to the longerons on the top side with rivets or screws as the turtledeck would prevent you getting a screwdriver or rivet gun on top of them. Hence I'm going to attach it to the bottom of the longerons using a 0.025" aluminium strip, the fabric will be squeezed in between the strip & longeron bottom. I'll to the forward and aft sides with screws & washers. Today I made the aluminium strips and drilled the forward cross tie box. Again the instructions are not clear on how many rivers/screws are needed so I just drilled them 1" apart.
