I reattached the com antenna to the fuselage and started wiring it up. The antenna does not have a BNC connecter, you're supposed to just attach the shielding to the fuselage and center wire to the antenna with ring terminals. I created a doubler to attach the shielding wire to, this will give extra strength to the attach point of the antenna as well as I thought it was a bit flimsy. The doubler is attached to the turtledeck through 3 of the center rivets next to the antenna, I had to drill out the original rivets, install the doubler and then reinstall the rivets. The doubler is not primed, also I removed some primer from the turtledeck under the doubler to make sure I get a good ground connection.
