It's been a few weeks since my last posting. Since that time the airplane has been fully assembled. The DAR did his thing on May 24th. The inspection went fine with no issues. Did have to address a few minor issues, which after five airplanes is normal. Everything was resolved and the first flight took place on June 5th. The flight was for one hour and other than some high CHTs went great. Since that time it has been a marathon session to work through the flight test program and fly the requisite hours. This is likely one of the few experimentals to fly in and out of Leadville multiple times (cheap gas) as part of the test program. I can report the airplane is quite capable of operations at full gross with a DA over 11k feet. Eventually, all the little things that popped up were finalized and as of today the airplane is complete and fully airworthy. Painting will be the next major step but due to shop backlogs will not take place until next year. In the meantime, this is my last post until paint.
