Brief Description:  Doors

I've been working on my RV-8 for the last couple of days. I finally got the ADSB up and running. I still need to do the in-air test. What a PITA this process has been. Some of the issues were self inflicted but so it goes. I'm also replacing two Odyssey batteries with EarthX. I pulled the warning light wires at the same time I was wiring the ADSB. The EarthX batteries are close to the same size but for my tray close wasn't going to work. This morning was spent rebuilding the battery tray and hold down bracket. With any luck the -8 will be airworthy again tomorrow.

As for the -10 spent a lot of time on panel design this week. Working with Stein Aero to build and wire the panel. But what good is a week if I can't work on the doors. So, today I disassembled the locking mechanism of both doors and countersunk the six exterior screw holes. I sanded the perimeter of both doors based on the results of the gapping process. The foam weatherstripping I used to establish the gap has some serious adhesive. The foam came off easy enough but the adhesive residue took some effort to get off. I did a bit of body filling in preparation for priming. More filling is necessary before the first prime coat.
