I followed the instructions to locate the fore and aft fuselage latch pin hole using a modified 5/16" pointed bolts. Even using the Planearound door pin guides, I should have known better. The process is not very exact as there is too much play with the 5/16" bolts. As a result, the holes in the fuselage were located too far outboard. So, I elongated the holes to ensure the door was flush with the outside of the fuselage. I then fabricated two doubler plates to fit on the backside of each bulkead. I adusted the location of the two holes on the doubler plates. This solution worked great. After I remove the cabin top, I'll permanently attach the two doubler plates. All is right again with the universe.
