Brief Description:  Install Bottom Wing Skin

After waking up to -13 degree temps this morninig, I began installation of the right bottom wing skins. I cleaned the edges of both skins, drilled the J-channel stiffener and final drilled the remaining match drilled holes.

I may have mentioned previously, but when I started building my RV-6 back in 1988, I bought a bunch of ATS clecos. For a non-match drilled airplane, the clecos were close to useless. They wouldn't hold and would often catapult out of a hole halfway across the room. The solution was to buy a normal Kleloc cleco which work great. Lo and behold, once I started building the -10 I discovered a perfect use for the old ATS clecos. They fit perfectly in the slightly smaller match drilled holes. I used every last one of my dwindling supply today on the large wing skin expanse. I'm actually a bit curious if current ATS clecos are manufactured to this slightly smaller tollerance. If so, they work great on the match drilled RV kits. I ordered a few today and will test them out.

I also received the Contol Approach rudder pedals today. They look great and should prove a nice upgrade.
