Brief Description:  Install Fiberglass Tips

Well, it's been a while since I worked on the plane. A trip to Oshkosh, then a trip to Colorado and then Wyoming along with some work trips go in the way of progress. But finally back at it today. I installed the close out fiberglass to the vertical stabilizer. I used a bit of a different technique than Van's recommends. It's certainly not better, it's just the process I used on my -6 and -8. I installed building foam to close out the vetical stabilizer tip. After the glue dried, I cut a triangular wedge along the edge of the foam which I subsequently filled with resin. This provided a bonding surface for the fiberglass cloth. After it dried, I sanded everything smooth and added two layers of four ounce cloth followed by sanding and a thin layer of coating resin.
