I cut out the baggage compartment close out for the gas strut attach brackets. One side came out better than the other, but it is not too noticeable. Also notched the close out for the flap cables.
Two things about the gas struts. Even though I drilled the brackets as low as possible, the struts still allow the door to open too high. If they had really good pressure (as we talked about), I'm afraid the doors would contact the wing at the tank drain fitting. The ideal probably would have been to move the attach bracket on the door frame down a little....but figuring that out before hand would have been difficult.
The other thing about the struts is that they push the entire door frame forward on the two door attach pins. The door frames did a nice job of scratching the paint on the forward fuselage frame tubes before I noticed it. Those pins don't fit tight so allow some movement. Need to figure a way to capture the door in the correct position...
Adjusted the taxi light and landing light and tightened the bolts.
