Started the engine today....sort of. I have the soft start module on the A ignition. With only that ignition on the engine started right up. However, when I turned on ignition B everything shut down. After some trouble shooting I determined that the ignition circuit are on with the switches open, just like a normal magneto circuit. I don't recall the Rotax manual making that clear. If it was, then I missed the finer details. It seems rather odd since this is an electronic ignition. Anyway, with the wires reversed on the ignition switches the engine starts immediately and continues to run on both sides. The engine is running a bit rough but I suspect that will clear up once the carbs are synched.
