Brief Description: Engine not running well

For the past few weeks –ever since I received my Air-worthiness certificate, I have been working on the engine, trying to get it to run better. Most of this time has been spent adjusting the carburetor, with little success. When I first started the AeroVee a few months back, I got lucky and had the carburetor and timing set pretty well, as the engine seemed to run fine on both ignition systems with maybe 40 RPMs lost. Unfortunately, after I moved to the airport and began taxiing around, the engine suddenly began to run poorly on the primary ignition system. At first I attributed this to carburetor adjustments I was making, thinking I was fouling the plugs, but after a while, I determined that there was a problem with the primary ignition. I narrowed down the problem to the top-front plugs and the top ignition module. The first thing I did was to clean and then replace the top-front two plugs with no change. My next move was to check the gap on the primary ignition module. When I removed this module, I noticed that it had been making contact with the magnet because there were groves wore into it, so I ordered a new one and replaced it. This had no effect either.
Where to next?
