Sonex responded to my email concerning the exhaust wrap and they said it wouldn’t hurt anything but they didn’t think it did much positive either. So tonight I installed it, since I already paid for it. What I bought was only enough for both the two-into-one manifolds, but I think I’ll see how this works instead of buying more for the extensions.
I also bought the adjustable oil pressure regulator kit from vwparts.net for about $9.00. If this works like advertised it'll be great to set whatever oil pressure I want.
