I spent the first part of the day preparing for installing of the fuel tank - had to go to 4 different stores before I found all the stuff I needed for the install. Spent a lot of time this afternoon attempting to come up with some tricky way that I could get the fuel line plumbed in without the glare shield installed. In the end, nothing worked, so I guess I'll be spending a bit of time under the glare shield installing the fuel tank and the fuel lines.
I ended up painting the glare shield the same color and type of paint at the panel. I used a type of paint from Rustoleum called 'Hammered' paint, silver in color. The paint looks almost dimpled and should not provide much glare. When I get the panel completed, I take a close-up picture of the paint on the panel.
I also included a picture of the tail fairing that I completed a few days ago. I didn't have enough of the nut plates, so it's not fully screwed into place.
