Brief Description: Completed the Turtledeck installation
Completed the installation of the turtle deck and all formers. With the exception of a few bolts I have yet to install, the aft portion of the fuselage is completed. All-in-all, I am completely satisfied with the result. Will spend the next week or so polishing the aft fuselage before I start on the forward fuselage - oh joy.
When I go to the Sonex Fly-in next Sunday, I'll take a look and see how other builders did with the formers and the turtledeck skins. On mine, some of the rivets pull the skin is just a little, so you can see a small indention. I want to compare how mine looks to other builders. Hopefully they all do it so I don't feel the need to drill out a bunch of rivets and insert spacers between the formers and the skin in some spots.
Was nice having a 4-day weekend - was able to work 28 hours over the past 4 days.
