Brief Description: Throttle and mixture control install
Today I installed the throttle and mixture controls and the AeroInjector. To install the end into the AeroInjector, I had to completely disassemble the AeroInjector. I’ve never seen such a simple carburetor – I think there were 10 parts for the whole thing. When checking the travel it doesn’t seem to be completely closing, so I’ll have some adjusting to do on that. It goes fully open though.
I also installed the oil pressure adjuster that I read about on the Sonex builders Yahoo page, which cost like $10 from Vee Dub Parts – once I figured out that it goes under the short spring near the flywheel, and not the long spring near the prop. Once that was installed I added the 2 quarts of oil and so far no leaks!
