Started taking lessons at the local airport (Manitowoc, Wisconsin) in a Savage Cruiser made in the Czech Republic. The Savage is a 2-place (fore-aft) tail-dragger.
Was surprised at how quickly the plane jumped off the runway. We discussed the airplane basics, how to preflight, taxiing and the four basics.
