Now that I have all the right tools/equipment and I saw the new 'homebuilder hints' video from the EAA website, polishing seems to be going better. I finished both the ailerons and one flap today.
Went to the local air show at Manitowoc today and saw a finished Sonex, all polished. This plane really looked good, the polish job was fantastic. I didn't get to meet the builder, but he definitely put some extra time into building this plane, all the rivets I saw were flush rivets. You'd think that seeing such a beautiful polish job would encourage me to get back to polishing, but no, all I thought of was why didn't I use all flush rivets!
