Made a trip to Sonex this morning and picked up a new leading edge and 'wing walk'. While I was there I took a close look at their planes and discovered that they look good from far, but up close they have lots of 'blemishes' too. It was nice to compare the work I've done on my plane with another and see that I'm really doing pretty good work so far.
Was successful this time in getting the leading edge skin on without any dents or creases. So I can now say that the right wing is done, except for polishing.
I made the mistake of keeping the TOP aft skin in the shop to use as a reference, now it's pretty scratched up - the bottom aft skin is fine, figures. Getting scratches out and then polishing is going to be a lot of work.
