Brief Description:  Check Ride

Well, I finally was able to take my Sport Pilot check ride after 36.2 hours (and 18 months) and it's a good thing the tester was feeling generous, because my landings left a lot to be desired. Anyway, at least I have that part behind me.

I think it would have taken far fewer hours if I would have taken lessons more often. Twice a month was too slow, I kept regressing between lessons.

Image one show my new (temporary) sport pilot certificate.

Image two shows one of the welsome signs that Lakeshore Aviation, the FBO at the Manitowoc, Wisconsin (KMTW) airport had out for me and the examiner for my check ride. I thought it was a nice touch.
