Brief Description:  Cut Canopy from Windscreen

Tonight I made the big CUT. The cut that everyone dreads. Not much of a problem at all. Just make sure you have a toasty work area. Most people say 70 - 80 degs but anything above 65 is ok. I've worked with Acrylic alot and as long as you keep it warm and don't drop it, you will be ok. I installed the Canopy frame again then placed the Canopy on top of it. Be careful because now that the Windscreen is cut away, the Canopy is very flimsy. Once you have it on top you can move it around to get a good fit. Mine lines up real nice. I secured for now with Duct Tape to get a good look at how everything lines up. The rollers are a little to the outside which is causeing them to slide and not roll because the Canopy has forced the rail to the outside. I knew this was going to happen so I will just remove it and bend the frame a couple more times. This is a good time to see how the Bows on the front are. Might need a little tweaking. Well, Greg and I are Flying Cross Country over to the Misssissippi River tomorrow to scout out some fishing holes so its an early night for me.

Just cut the Canopy in Half. The bottom needs to be secured with 2X4's or it will try to pull away.
