I clamped the elevator in place with the counterbalance so that the pushrod length can be set. The Bellcrank needs to be in the neutral position, i.e., with the bolt holes for the pushrods vertical. Place a 3/8 socket with extention through the hole in the F-728 rib and fitting it over the head of the lower bolt. This should make the bellcranck vertical. Now thread in or out the pushrod bearings until the pushrod fits. Make sure you have at least have the threads engaged in the tube. This will ensure that the bearings never disengage from the tube by backing out.
