The EGT probes were next. I looked at this very carefully. You must not get these two close in what's called the "Flame area" which is under 2" from the flange. This might cause premature burning of the probes. The plans recommend 2 to 4 inches from the flange as long as they are the same on all for ports. 3" it is. But wait, I have a mounting line up thingy on # 3 and 4 which is right where the clamp will be on the probe. I can move each one up about 1/8" and it will be ok. I also futzed around to make sure on the right side that the probes wont be in the way of the spark plugs and wires. I then drilled 1/8" holes in each exhaust at the same distance from the flange then mounted the probes with the supplied clamps.
